Overview

The Makita DUC254 is a specialist 18V LXT top-handle chainsaw designed for trained tree surgeons. Its brushless motor delivers up to 570W and drives a 25cm chain at up to 24m/s, giving unusually high chain speed from a compact 2.8–3.3kg package. Automatic oiling and electric/kickback braking support professional tree-care use, but the top-handle format carries explicit training requirements from Makita.
