STIHL
STIHL RL 540 Petrol Lawn Scarifier
Petrol
Overview
The STIHL RL 540 is the heavy-duty scarifier in this launch range and is aimed at larger lawns where battery runtime or extension cables would be inconvenient. Its 149cc petrol engine produces 2.2kW and drives a 38cm scarifying unit with seven double blades. STIHL specifies up to 25mm working depth with six settings, giving the machine enough adjustment for both controlled seasonal renovation and more aggressive thatch removal. At 33kg it is substantially heavier than electric alternatives, but smooth-running wheels, a folding handlebar and dedicated carry handle make storage and movement more manageable. This is the machine to choose for scale and sustained output, not for a tiny suburban lawn.
