Bosch
Bosch UniversalHedgePole 18 Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer
Battery, compatible battery platform
Overview
The UniversalHedgePole 18 fills a very different role from a standard hedge trimmer: it is designed to reach the tops and backs of tall hedges while keeping the user on the ground. The telescopic shaft adjusts from roughly 2.1 to 2.6 metres and the cutting head pivots through 135°, making it much easier to approach high or awkward surfaces. Its 43cm blade and 16mm tooth opening are aimed at routine maintenance rather than very thick woody growth. At 3.6kg excluding battery it is naturally heavier and more front-loaded than a handheld trimmer, but the extra reach is the reason to choose it. This record represents the bare-tool version.
Best For
- Tall domestic hedges
- Trimming hedge tops without a ladder
- Hard-to-reach faces and awkward angles
