Petrol brushcutters are the most powerful option for heavy growth. They handle thick weeds, saplings and brambles without struggling. The trade-off is weight, noise and maintenance.
Battery brushcutters are improving but still lag behind petrol for sustained heavy work. They're best if you already own a compatible battery platform and have medium-density weeds.
Look for a model with a shoulder harness — it makes a big difference when using a heavier tool for extended periods. And check the cutting width: wider is faster for open areas, narrower is better for tight spaces.
